MacLean Power Systems, a leading manufacturer for products used for building transmission, distribution lines and substations, will be locate a new facility in Trenton, Gibson County. This is fantastic news for the local region, as it will bring a $12 million dollar investment with 250 new jobs created.

MacLean Power Systems is a subsidiary of MacLean-Fogg Company, a global enterprise with reported annual sales of $900 million and a worldwide workforce of more than 3000 people. MacLean Fogg manufactures products that impact all areas of everyday life; electric utility, telecommunications and civil markets.

Present at the announcement in Nashville was Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam and the Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development joined with company officials.

"This is exciting news for our state. MacLean Power Systems has a global presence, so this announcement speaks well for how attractive the Tennessee business climate is," Haslam said. "Trenton is in an area that will benefit greatly from these jobs, and I know the company will find hard-working Tennesseans are good, quality employees. MacLean Power Systems and Tennessee will be a strong partnership."

The facility will produce hardware and connector products and is projected to begin initial operations in the first half of 2013.
